PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a novel microwave band pass filter structure available to improve problems in an outer form dimension while maintaining particularly a high performance level and low production costs. SOLUTION: The finline type microwave band-pass filter includes a waveguide 203 comprising an insulating substrate 204 disposed on an E plane of a guide and a conductive insert 205. The conductive insert is located on at least one surface of the substrate and is electrically connected to an inside face of the guide supporting the substrate, and a Chebyshev type filter response curve is determined from its dimension and its position on the substrate. The filter includes at least one cavity 207 in a short-circuit circuit that is vertical to the substrate, a transmission zero on the filter response curve is determined from the position of the cavity and the dimension thereof, and a group of frequencies around the zero is attenuated.
