PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing system, an image processor and an additional processor capable of protecting image data by connecting the additional processor with the image processor not provided with a function for protecting the image data. SOLUTION: The image processor 1 and the additional processor 2 are arranged such that the additional processor 2 can perform image data protection processing in addition to essential processing of the image processor 1 when the additional processor 2 is connected with the image processor 1 not provided with a function for protecting image data being processed. When the additional processor 2 is connected with the communication section 152 of the image processor 1, the additional processor 2 relays information being transmitted/received externally at the communication section 152 and performs protection processing of the image data being transmitted/received.
