PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lessen a burden related to parameter adjustment on a user required for attaining high quality color gamut mapping. SOLUTION: A compression curve DB creating section 106 converts a color data group in a first range of each hue indicated by a Munsell hue circle into a color data group in a second range, and determines a parameter for defining a curve passing a position indicated by color data before conversion and a position indicated by the color data after conversion.
