PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus suitable for a supervisory camera employed in a supervisory system capable of quickly changing imaging directions in both a vertical direction (tilt direction) and a horizontal direction (panning direction) without making the structure complicated. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus includes: an imaging unit 3 fixedly installed; a movable mirror part 4 installed at an incident face side of an imaging lens 1 of the imaging unit 3 and supported in a way of being turnable around two shafts 5, 6 orthogonal to each other at one point on an optical axis of the imaging lens; and a drive means for turning and operating the movable mirror part 4 around the two shafts 5, 6. The imaging unit 3 carries out imaging via the movable mirror part 4. Further, the imaging apparatus is provided with an image processing section 11 for carrying out image processing to turn the imaged image by the imaging unit 3 in response to an angular position around the optical axis of the imaging lens 1 of the movable mirror part 4.
