PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To completely reduce the irregular luminance and the irregular color or the like of a display picture and to prevent the lowering of the utilization factor of luminous flux accompanied with the said processing in the case of superposing and displaying the pictures by a plurality of projector devices by using the projector devices. SOLUTION: In the picture projection system which projects to display the picture formed by stacking, the information of an illumination profile showing the intensity distribution of respective color light sources in the picture projection devices 1_1 and 1_2 is measured for every picture projection device. Then, the illumination profile of entire projected light composed by respectively adding the measured information for every light source color is calculated. Based on the lowest value of light intensity calculated by comparing the illumination profile of every light source color, correction profile information for changing the illumination profile is obtained for every picture projection device and transmitted to the respective picture projection devices respectively.
