摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medium conveying mechanism miniaturizing a device and reducing cost by omitting an exclusive attitude control means to simplify constitution of an information reading part. SOLUTION: Paper 90 is conveyed on a sliding guide surface 43 by a first carrier roller pair 15 arranged upstream and a second carrier roller pair 17 arranged downstream of a conveying path 12 to hold image reading parts 24, 26 in between. The first carrier roller pair 15 generates a feeding force toward the sliding guide surface 43 to press the leading end edge of the paper 90 to the sliding guide surface 43, and the second carrier roller pair 17 generates a feeding force in a direction away from the sliding guide surface 43 to press the trailing end edge of the paper 90 to the sliding guide surface 43.
