PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator using stairs possible to be commonly used between people using a wheelchair and the general public by using a plurality of steps arranged to form stairs between floors. SOLUTION: The elevator using stairs is provided with a plurality of stairs steps 1 arranged to form stairs between floors, a fixed step support 3 capable of moving some of stairs steps in the rising direction and for supporting them in the horizontal condition in the lowering direction, a movable step support 2 structured freely to appear and disapper to move the residual steps of the stairs steps in the rising direction and to support the stairs steps in the horizontal condition when projecting and to move the stairs steps in the lowering direction when disappearing, and elevating means 4, 5 and 6 to be loaded with a plurality of stairs steps on the top surface thereof in order in the horizontal condition by moving from lower in the rising direction and for arranging a plurality of stairs steps to form stairs in order by moving them from over in the lowering direction.
