PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a conventional occupant detecting system requires high manufacturing costs. SOLUTION: A displacement sensor 26 is constructed on a substrate 28 of a means 27 of discriminating the occupant, and the displacement sensor 26 and a circuit part 29 of the means 27 of discriminating the occupant are electrically connected by wiring 46. As a consequence, the parts such as a cable harness for electrically connecting the displacement sensor 26 to the means 27 of discriminating the occupant, a connector for connecting the cable harness, and a case of the displacement sensor 26 become unnecessary. Thus, the number of parts can be reduced, and the number of processes to assemble parts can also be reduced. Thus, the cost of manufacturing can be reduced. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
