PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spray cleaning apparatus which surely prevents the problem of a temperature rise in cleaning water occurring when a return line through which the front and the rear of a pump are allowed to communicate with each other via an unloader valve is installed. SOLUTION: In this spray cleaning apparatus, the return line 11 through which the front and the rear of the pump 8 are allowed to communicate with each other via the unloader valve 12 is installed, and when a hand valve of a spray gun 10 is closed, the surplus water is poured into the return line 11 to release the load applied on the pump 8. A thermistor 13 on the return line 11 and a drain line 16 having one end communicating with a point between the spray gun 10 and the return line 11 and the other end released in the open air via a solenoid valve 15 are provided, and a control means 14 which opens the solenoid valve 15 when the temperature of the cleaning water flowing through the return line 11 rises to a prescribed temperature or higher is provided.
