PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice cooker by which the water of a volume corresponding to the volume of rice is fed, the water of an optimum volume is sucked in rice, and rice is cooked to be tasty. SOLUTION: The rice cooker is provided with a feed water tank 5 which is put so as to cover the the opening of an inner pot 2 and has a water feed port 5f in the upper part and a valve 5a in the lower part; an electromagnetic driving part 14 which opens and closes the valve 5a; and a weight sensor 9 which detects weight of the feed water tank 5 and the inner pot 2; a heater 5g for heating water fed to the feed water tank 5; a temperature sensor A5h for monitoring the temperature of the water to be heated by the heater 5g; and a control section 13 which controls so as to display a cooking rice menu display 12 to pour the water of the optimum volume corresponding to the volume of the rice to be held in an inner pot 2 into the feed water tank 5, based on the detection input of the weight sensor 9, controls the heater 5g so as to heat the water fed into the feed water tank 5 to be at fixed temperature, based on the detection input of the temperature sensor A5h, and controls the electromagnetic driving part 14 so as to automatically feed the water of the feed water tank 5 to the inner pot 2.
