<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method and an image forming apparatus by which excellent developability is obtained though a toner of a very small particle diameter is used, accordingly a visible image of high image quality comparable to that by offset printing and an image free of uneven gloss between image portions and in the image portions can be provided. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming method including at least a developing step of developing a latent image formed on a surface of a latent image bearing member with a toner-containing developer borne on a surface of a developer bearing member, a volume average particle diameter of the toner is in the range of 2-5 μm and the development is performed while applying vibrational energy to a portion of the latent image bearing member corresponding to a developing region. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
