PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for forming a polyhedron based on the point group of each color in a color space at a high speed. SOLUTION: Polyhedron forming sections 101 and 103 rearrange color data groups according to the saturation of respective color data and form an initial polyhedron using a predetermined number of color data groups from a head when the rearranged color data groups are referred in the descending order of saturation. A polyhedron is formed using the initial polyhedron or a polyhedron formed in a prestage, and a color data group from which the predetermined number of color data groups is removed from the head when the rearranged color data groups are referred in the descending order of saturation.
