METHOD FOR PRODUCING ALKANE OR ALKENE COMPOUND

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an alkane or alkene compound by reduction of a carbon-carbon multiple bond. SOLUTION: The method comprises the following process: Either one of alkene or alkyne compound of general formula(1) or general formula(2)( wherein, R1to R6are each H or the like ) or their mixture is reacted in the presence of at least one compound selected from the group consisting of a bromine oxide of general formula(3)( wherein, M is H or a metal atom; and m is an integer of 1-3 ) and hydrogen peroxide, a hydrazine compound of general formula(4)( wherein, n is an integer of≥0 ) and an acid to obtain the objective alkane or alkene compound of general formulas(5) to (7)( wherein, R1to R6are each the same as mentioned above ).
