PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems wherein, when using a canister conveyance facility such as an air pallet, a local concentrated load to the upper part of a storage pipe is generated, which is not generated by a conventional floor running crane, with a background that the floor running crane is required to run in an area where a work for storing the canister is performed in a conventional radioactive material dry storage facility, and that thereby a rational building shape is created by using the canister conveyance facility such as the air pallet. SOLUTION: This radioactive material dry storage facility characterized by using the canister conveyance facility such as the air pallet instead of the floor running crane is constituted so that a pillar is installed in a storage chamber. Hereby, for example, the local concentrated load to the upper part of the storage pipe generated when using the canister conveyance facility such as the air pallet is applied to a building foundation slab through the pillar installed in the storage chamber, to thereby reduce the load applied to the storage chamber ceiling.
