PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photocatalyst carrier hard to cause the peeling of photocatalyst fine particles and having high photocatalytic function. SOLUTION: First, a first titanium oxide layer 5 is formed on the surface of a ceramic filter 3 being an alumina ceramic porous body by a dip coating method and baked for 1 hr at a temperature of 600°-1,100°C. Next, a second titanium oxide layer 7 is also formed on the first titanium oxide layer by the dip coating method and the whole is baked at 200°C for 2 hr to complete the photocatalyst carrier 1.
