<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compose a display part on a placement part of a document tray, which is not easily peeled, and which is easily visually recognized. <P>SOLUTION: In this document tray 9, it is connected to a document carrying device 7, so that a plurality of documents placed on the placement part 17 are carried by a document carrying device 7. On one side edge of the placement part 17, the display part 20 for positioning documents is provided to be shaped to indicate reference positions of documents. The display part 20 has a hole 21 formed to indicate a reference position for documents in an upper surface of the placement part 17, and an engagement member 22 shaped to roughly coincide with the hole 21 is engaged with it.
