<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a swash plate type compressor which can substantially relieve problems such as torque loss and heat generation caused by slide contact between a shoe and a swash plate. <P>SOLUTION: A thrust needle bearing 80 is provided between a swash plate 27 and a shoe 29 so as to receive a thrust load.
