PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a focusing control at high speed, and also, with high accuracy, irrespective of the F value of a photographic lens. SOLUTION: When a release button is half-depressed (S502:YES), a 1st focal position information showing the focal position of the focusing lens 3a is generated by an AF sensor module 17 by a phase difference detection system (S503). The F value (photographing F value) of the focusing lens 3a to be set at photographing is obtained by a camera control part 20 (S504), and a correction value corresponding to the photographing F value is read out of a plurality of correction values for every F value stored in an EEPROM 25 (S505), and the 1st focal position information is corrected based on the read correction value (S506), and the focusing lens 3a is shifted to the focal position obtained based on the corrected 1st focal position information (S507), and when the release button is fully depressed (S508:YES), the camera is controlled by the camera control part 20 so that the F value of the focusing lens 3a may become the photographing F value (S509), then, photographing is performed (S510).
