PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electronic equipment having simple mounting structure of a microphone with high noise suppression effect, and also to provide a camera. SOLUTION: The microphone 5, a microphone cover 30 and a camera body 1 do not comes in direct contact with one another in a state in which the microphone 5 and the microphone cover 30 are inserted into a recessed part 110 provided on the camera body 1 and fixed using a holding member 200 formed by an elastic body. A space B in which a sound collecting side end surface 51 of the microphone 5 is exposed is separated from an internal space C of a digital camera 100 surrounded by the camera body 1 by the holding member 200 and the recessed part 110. Consequently, vibration generated in the camera body 1 and the microphone cover 30 is absorbed by the holding member 200, and vibration transmitted from the camera body 1 to the microphone cover 30 is also suppressed.
