摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bolometer type infrared detector capable of reducing an afterimage generated when imaging a high-temperature object, and an afterimage reducing method using the infrared detector. SOLUTION: This bolometer type infrared detector is provided with a high-temperature object detecting means for detecting the high-temperature object having a predetermined temperature or more or an output voltage corresponding to the temperature or more, out of subjects, and a control temperature setting means for setting a control temperature for a Peltier element or a pulse bias setting means for setting a pulse width and a voltage of a pulse bias, and is constituted to conduct control for elevating the control temperature for the Peltier element stepwisely or pulse-likely, for widening the pulse width of the pulse bias, for heightening a voltage value of a pulse, or the like, by the control temperature setting means or the pulse bias setting means, when the high-temperature object having the predetermined temperature or more or the output voltage or more is detected by the high-temperature object detecting means.
