PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing at a relatively low cost a polyolefin resin coated metal sheet having superior adhesion. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the resin coated metal sheet comprises coating a composite resin 5 on a metal sheet 2. The method is characterized in that, of polyolefin resin layers 3, 4 which constitute the composite resin 5, the innermost polyolefin resin layer 3 which is located in contact with the metal sheet 2 is formed by extruding a molten maleic acid-modified polyolefin resin from a T die 6 on the metal sheet 2 having a temperature which is the temperature of the molten maleic acid-modified polyolefin resin or higher and 340°C or lower; that the metal sheet on which the composite resin 5 has been formed is pressed with a first roll 7 and a second roll 8 controlled to a temperature of≥10°C and <50°C so that the outermost polyolefin resin layer 4 may contact the first roll 7; and that, even after the pressing, the contacting condition of the metal sheet 2 and the first roll 7 is maintained until the pressing position of the first roll 7 rotates in the range of less than one revolution.
