PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drawing machine which can draw a film uniformly in a prescribed direction. SOLUTION: The film drawing machine 1 is composed of two chains 2 set on both sides of a film 6 conveying passage, numbers of bases 3 set in the chains 2, arms 4 which are fitted slidably to the bases 3 respectively and one end of each of which can project to the film 6 side, and clips 5 each of which is set at one end on the film 6 side of the arm 4 and which can grip edge parts on both sides of the film 6. While the film 6 is conveyed with both its side edge parts gripped by the clips 5, the arms 4 are slid on the bases 3 to make the clips 5 retreat to the side of the chains 2, so that the film 6 is stretched.
