PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin electrochemical cell which is put in a laminated outer package and has a structure prevented from leakage of electrolyte at a lead-out part or a break of the lead. SOLUTION: One side or both sides of the lead-out part is sealed in a convex shape. A side of the convex shape is a sloped or curved trapezoidal shape and the convex shape is formed by heat fusion with a heat plate having concave shape correspond to the convex shape. The thickness of convex shaped sealed part T, the thickness of outer sealed part except for the lead-out part T1, the thickness of the lead T2, the thickness of a base resin layer of heat fusing tape T3, and the thickness of heat fusing resin T4 before the heat fusion of the heat fusing tape are determined so that they satisfy the relationship of (T1+T2+2×T3+1.5×T4)>T>(T1+T2+2×T3+0.5×T4). The thickness of the heat fusing resin after heat fusion of outer package or the heat fusing tape is set within the range from 25% to 75% of those before heat fusion. The lead width W1, the width of convex shape W2 and the width of the heat fusing tape W3 are determined so that they satisfy the relationship of W3>W2>W1 and the width of the heat fusing tape W3 before heat fusion is 1 mm or more larger than the width of the convex shape W2.
