PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screw ejecting device and a silo using it for storing the dehydrated cake of sewage sludge capable of securing a constant quantity ejection by preventing the sludge from flowing out naturally from a screw ejection hole irrespective of the level of storage and precluding excessive ejection during the ejection. SOLUTION: A screw 1 is used as an ejecting means for the dehydrated cake stored in the silo 2 temporarily, and a part over the ejection hole 5 of a screw trough 4 accommodating the screw 1 is provided with a blocking part 10 so as to prevent the dehydrated cake stored from dropping onto the screw 1, and in advance, the pressure drop of the sludge per screw pitch Ps is determined in compliance with the screw diameter D in mm in advance, and the screw pitch number N with which the sludge does not flow out naturally from the ejection hole 5 is calculated when the level of storage of the cake is h in m, and the length S corresponding to the pitch number N is secured as the length of the blocking part 10.
