METHOD FOR PRODUCING FIBER FOR REINFORCING RUBBER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide fibers for reinforcing rubber slightly causing deterioration of fiber strengths and rubber-fiber adhesive strength even at high temperatures during vulcanization molding. SOLUTION: A method for producing the fibers for reinforcing the rubber is characterized as follows. An aqueous treating liquid containing an adsorption type acid acceptor is applied to fibers and dried. Furthermore, the adsorption type acid acceptor is preferably dispersed in water and the content of the adsorption type acid acceptor is preferably 0.01-2.0 wt.% based on the fiber weight. The particle diameter of the adsorption type acid acceptor is preferably≤20μm and the specific surface area is preferably≥1 m2/g. The adsorption type acid acceptor is preferably a compound of hydrotalcites and the treating liquid preferably consists essentially of an adhesive. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
