SURFACE TREATMENT COMPOSITION FOR METAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface treatment composition for metal with which a film having corrosion resistance comparable to that by chromium treatment and phosphate treatment can be obtained even when being dried at a temperature lower than the conventional drying temperature. SOLUTION: The surface treatment composition for metal comprises: an aqueous epoxy resin solution (A) prepared by neutralizing carboxyl groups in a modified epoxy resin obtained by bringing a hydrazine derivative (b) containing active hydrogen and an acid anhydride (c) into reaction with an epoxy group-containing resin (a) with ammonia or an amine compound, and dispersing the same into water; and an oxazoline radical-containing compound (B).
