PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optic toothbrush that prevents dental caries, alveolar pyorrhea, and teeth odor by irradiating light. SOLUTION: The optic toothbrush includes in itself a light transmissive member for guiding light from a light source to a brush section, and the brush section side of the tip end of the light transmissive member has a rough surface. In a preferred embodiment, an optical fiber is used as the light transmissive member, and its tip end is formed in an acute angle so that the light is reflected and reaches the brush section.
