<p>A combination is provided of a facemask having a periphery and an air permeable filter closure placed around the periphery of the facemask and adapted to abut and cover the contours of a user's face. The filter closure is made of a breathable substrate having electrostatic properties, whereby breathable air passing through the filter closure to the user is filtered.
