<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxygen concentration detection element capable of preventing the deterioration of the element by preventing the exfoliation of a porous protection layer, concerning the oxygen concentration detection element used for an oxygen sensor for detecting the oxygen concentration in exhaust gas. <P>SOLUTION: This oxygen concentration detection element 1 includes a print protection layer 10 constituted of an insulating material and a solid electrolyte material on the inner surface of the porous protection layer 11, and the insulating material is formed by including a pore forming agent of 10-80 vol%. The pore forming agent is burned out at the burning time, to thereby allow the print protection layer 10 to have a porous shape. Hereby, adhesion strength of the porous protection layer 11 is heightened to prevent the exfoliation, and the element deterioration can be prevented. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
