<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a stereoscopic image by accurately synthesizing an animation image such as an actuality-film image without causing displacement, in a device displaying a stereoscopic animation image by projecting the animation image obtained by two cameras on a spherical screen and selectively projecting the animation image to the right and left eyes of an observer and generating virtual reality. <P>SOLUTION: High-compressed animation-image files are taken into hard disks 12, 22 and 32 from DVDs 11 and 12, decoded successively by thawing sections 13, 23 and 33 respectively, and converted into signals of the animation image by regenerative display sections 14, 24 and 34. Distortions are corrected to the spherical shape of the screen by distortion correction sections 15 and 25. A synchronous control unit 36 distributes the time of an image read from a video signal from the regenerative display unit 34 in this case, and the synchronous control units 16 and 26 of two image preparation means 7 and 8 conduct synchronous processing in response to the distribution. Accordingly, a time is required while the decoding processings of the high-compressed animation-image files are conducted synchronously in which the required times are varied by the image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
