<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarizing plate which does not cause light leakage by distortion due to heat or else, and to provide a liquid crystal display device equipped with the polarizing plate and having high display quality. <P>SOLUTION: The polarizing plate has an adhesive layer 1 and an optical compensation sheet 2 provided thereon, wherein, when a stress-optical coefficient of the adhesive layer 1 is Cn(1/Pa) and a film thickness of a substrate of the optical compensation sheet 2 is Tw(μm), the value Y in the following equation (1) gets to 0.0006 or less: Y=-700,000×Cn+0.000013×Tw-0.0007 (1). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
