<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarizing plate having excellent appearance such as planarity, to provide a liquid crystal display device having the polarizing plate and to provide a manufacturing method of the polarizing plate which has excellent productivity in a punching process or the like of the polarizing plate. <P>SOLUTION: In the polarizing plate, a cyclic olefin type resin film which is extended at least in one direction is disposed on a half surface of a polarizer and a cellulose ester film including a plasticizer is laminated on the opposite side surface of the polarizer. Therein, the cellulose ester film has such a distribution of plasticizer content in the thickness direction of the film as to decrease on the side that is in contact with the polarizer with respect to the average plasticizer content and, further, has a hard coat layer on the side of the cellulose ester film that is not in contact with the polarizer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
