<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the reduction of tension of a seat belt until the tension of the seat belt increased by being drawn out accompanying with movement of an occupant reaches the upperlimit tension of a force limiter in a seat belt retractor having a pre-tensioner and a force limiter. <P>SOLUTION: Gas generators 8, 9 are provided on the pre-tensioner 3 and are successively activated to continuously work torque in a take-up direction to a spool 2. Thereby, tension of the seat belt is not reduced but gradually increased until the tension of the seat belt increased by being drawn out accompanying with movement of the occupant reaches the upperlimit tension of a torsion bar 17. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
