摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device that changes the size of an imaging area electronically without changing a clock frequency of one frame, and executes hyper resolution processing to the area taken in. SOLUTION: An optical system 101 produces an optical image on an imager 102. A reading control part 104 selects a reading rule of the imager according to the magnification ratio specified by a magnification ratio specifying part 103. The imager 102 converts the optical image in a specified area to an electrical signal according to the reading rule. The read image signal is stored in n image memories (from image memories 105-1 to 105-n), where n is the number of images necessary for executing the hyper resolution processing. The hyper resolution processing part is composed of a motion estimation part 107 and a high resolution image estimation part 108 that estimates image data of the arrangement of high resolution pixels.
