PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distortion measuring method and a system which makes possible, automatization of distortion tests, elimination of skilled testers, stable and fair tests because of quantification of criterion, and distortion tests of gradually curved mirrors (complex curvature mirror) which was conventionally difficult. SOLUTION: By using a predetermined software, a reflection image measured data which is obtained by reflecting a pattern of predetermined dots 12 provided on a screen 4 to the reflection surface (curved surface 5a) of an test object mirror 5, and reflection image theory data of the predetermined dot pattern which is obtained by calculating based on a design value used for forming the reflection surface 5a of the test object mirror 5 are compared so as to measure the distortion of the test object.
