摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for deciding quickly and highly precisely a reference point in machining, from an alignment mark set on a workpiece for the purpose of indicating a reference point in design, and also to provide a laser beam machine. <P>SOLUTION: The method for deciding the reference point in machining is such that the image of a search area 5 is picked up where the alignment mark 1 provided on a printed circuit board 9 for the purpose of indicating the reference point in design is supposed to exist, that the image pickup data obtained is processed for pattern matching to specify the position of the alignment mark 1 and processed for binarization to extract the alignment mark 1 as a graphic, and that the center coordinates of the graphic so extracted is determined, deciding the obtained coordinates as the reference point in machining. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p>
