PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circuit breaker which carries out release operation of pulling off a wire with light force, and with an excellent operability at the time of release. SOLUTION: A release lever 3 is provided with: a turning fulcrum under a wire housing part 6 at a wire receptacle 7 side; an operating part 10 at an upper end for making a release operation exposed above a breaker case 5; and a release interference piece 13 interfering with a leaf spring 2 from above at an approximate center part. By slide-operating the operating part 10 to turn the release lever 3 in a direction separated from the wire receptacle 7, the release interference piece 13 interferes with a locking part 2a of the leaf spring 2 to release the leaf spring 2 from locking to the wire, and thus, the wire 18 is enabled to be pulled off.
