PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure the floating property of a head slider itself without being influenced by the undulating shape of the surface of a magnetic disk on the magnetic disk. SOLUTION: This method of measuring the floating property of the head slider 1 which floats on the surface of the magnetic disk 6 by its rotation measures the floating property of the head slider 1 by floating the head slider 1 by generating an air stream 7 in the state of not rotating the magnetic disk 6.
