PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide charged migration particles which migrate between electrodes without depositing on barrier walls and stably migrate even at high temperature and to provide an electrophoretic display apparatus using the particles. SOLUTION: The charged migration particles comprise particles coated with a polymer material comprising a structural unit expressed by general formula (1), and the particles are used for the electrophoretic display apparatus. In general formula (1), R<SB>1</SB>represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group and R<SB>2</SB>represents -(CH<SB>2</SB>)<SB>x</SB>-(CF<SB>2</SB>)<SB>y</SB>-B, wherein B represents a hydrogen atom or a fluorine atom and each of x and y represents an integer 0 to 30, however, the hydrogen atom in CH<SB>2</SB>may be replaced by a fluorine atom or CF<SB>3</SB>, and the fluorine atom in CF<SB>2</SB>may be replaced by CF<SB>3</SB>.
