PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat display apparatus whose front cover can be easily replaced and which is excellent in productivity and can be manufactured at low cost, and to provide a manufacturing method of the same. SOLUTION: A flat display module 14 is so constituted that: a flat display panel 2 is provided on the front face of a plate 3 and a circuit section 4 is provided on the rear face of the plate 3; and the flat display panel 2 and the circuit section 4 are connected via a wiring 5. A metal fitting 8 is fixed to the plate 3, and an optical filter 7 whose frame section is supported by the metal fitting 8 is arranged on the flat display panel 2 via a cushion material 6. After this, a reinforcing member 10 and a back cover 12 are arranged at the back of the flat display module 14, and a front cover 11 is arranged in front of the flat display module.
