PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display the same information in black characters by scroll display to a visually unimpaired person and in Braille by continuous display to a visually impaired person. SOLUTION: A display apparatus comprises an electric display section 200 for scroll displaying black characters, and a Braille display section 400 for continuously displaying the same content on a rotary member in Braille. The electric display section 200 automatically starts display when a person approaches, and the Braille display section 400 automatically starts Braille display when a finger touches any one of touch sensors S1-S3 arranged near the Braille display section 400 and, when the finger detaches from the touch sensor, the Braille display stops. When the finger does not come in contact with the touch sensor after a prescribed time elapses, the Braille display section 400 pauses in the state that the head of a Braille display sentence is automatically searched.
