PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surveying apparatus capable of finding out easily a reflector from inside the background in a visual field. SOLUTION: This surveying apparatus has an irradiation part 11 provided with an objective lens 13, for irradiating illumination light toward the reflector 2; and a collimation optical system part 9 for observing the inside of the visual field on the basis of visible light entering through the objective lens 13. The collimation optical system part 9 has a Porro prism 17 for converting an image in the visual field based on a visible light flux acquired through the objective lens 13 into an erect normal image, and an eyepiece part 19 for observing the erect normal image acquired through the Porro prism 17. The Porro prism 17 has an optical path splitting surface 38 for splitting the illumination light and the visible light reflected by the reflector 2 and acquired through the objective lens 13 into a light flux proceeding toward the eyepiece part 19 and a light flux proceeding toward an image sensor 37, and an image processing circuit 39 is provided with a processing means for processing so that the reflector 2 position to a collimation optical axis O is displayed recognizably on a screen of a monitor 40.
