PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bookbinding device which can lessen a burden to be imposed on an operator and prevent scuff marks from occurring on a cover while cutting a bookbinding cost. SOLUTION: This bookbinding device 10 has a conveyance surface 30 on which a cover 16 supplied from a cover supply area 20 is guided to an adhesion part 14, a plurality of nibs 31 jutting out of the conveyance surface 30 in order to convey the cover 16 placed on the conveyance surface 30 to the adhesion part 14, a transfer means 32 for transferring the jutting-out nibs 31 to the adhesion part 14 and a holding belt 35 which holds the cover 16 to the conveyance surface 30 when the cover 16 on the conveyance surface 30 is transferred by the nibs 31.
