PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wound dressing appropriately used for wounds of burns, ulcers, and bedsores. SOLUTION: The wound dressing uses cross-linkingγ-polyglutamic acid. The cross-linkingγ-polyglutamic acid is obtained by polymerization of theγ-polyglutamic acid, produced by microbial fermentation, through chemical bonding by gamma-ray irradiation or a cross-linking reagent.
