The inventive method for preparing microspheres comprising poly (D,L-lactide-co-glycolide), poly(D,L-lactide (PLAGA or PLA)) or the mixtures thereof which are ethyl acetate soluble and encapsulate at least one type of ethyl acetate non-soluble active substance. Compositions containing microspheres homogeneously dispersed in a biocompatible polymer solution capable to form a gel in situ after administration through a haemo-meningeal barrier (HMB) for treating CNS chronic diseases are also disclosed.
