Mixture of two metal azo complexes useful as a light absorber in the information layer of a write-once optical data carrier

Mixture of two metal azo complexes 1 and 2, where the c 1/c 2weight ratio is 0.2-10, the k 2/k 1absorption ratio at a laser wavelength of 650 nm is 1-5 and the n 2/n 1refractive index ratio at a laser wavelength of 650 nm is 1.05-1.5, is new. Independent claims are also included for: (1) solutions comprising an organic solvent (S1) and at least 1 wt.% of a mixture as abovve; (2) optical data carrier writable and readable with red light comprising a substrate, a writable information layer, optionally one or more reflective layers and optionally a protective layer or another substrate or a covering layer, where the information layer comprises a mixture as above and optionally a binder; (3) producing an optical data carrier as above by coating a substrate with a mixture as above, optionally in combination with binders, additives and/or solvents, and providing the substrate with a reflective layer, an adhesive layer and another substrate.
