PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems that terminals 11, 12 of an air-core coil 10 can not be accurately formed and productivity is reduced if a flat wire becomes extremely thin. SOLUTION: A method of forming an air-core coil terminal uses a jig 50 freely movable intermittently in a horizontal direction while holding an air-core coil winding 15, and a metal die comprising a cutter and a plurality of sets of dies and punches. The method comprises a process of forming an air-core coil 10 pulling terminals 11, 12 from one end of the winding 15 in reverse directions, respectively; a process of mounting the winding 15 onto the jig 50 in the state of protruding both the terminals 11, 12 out of the jig 50, wherein the terminals extend from an upper end of the winding part 15 while turning the winding axis of the air-core coil 10 laterally; a molding process of stopping the jig 50 at the position of each of the dies, and curving both the terminals 11, 12 placed on the die using the punches; a cutting step of cutting both the terminals 11, 12 just into predetermined length using the cutter; and a finish winding process of additionally winding a part of each of both the terminals 11, 12 around the outer periphery of the winding 15, respectively.
