PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a superconductive wire rod in which a single phase formation of a Bi2223 phase contained in the superconductive wire rod is furthermore promoted, and in which its orientation is furthermore improved and connectivity between crystals is improved, therefore in which superior superconductive characteristics are exhibited. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the superconductive wire rod having a filament containing the Bi2223 phase and a sheath part for covering the filament, comprises: a temperature-elevating process in which a temperature of a precursor of the super-conductive wire rod is elevated to the heat-treating temperature in a low-oxygen atmosphere with an oxygen partial pressure of 0.07 to 0.09 atm; a heat treating process for heat-treating the precursor of the superconductive wire rod; and a temperature-reducing process in which the temperature of the precursor of the superconductive wire rod is reduced from the heat-treating temperature in a high-oxygen atmosphere with an oxygen partial pressure of 0.16 to 0.21 atm.
