PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL device having superior durability and reliability at a low cost. SOLUTION: This organic EL device is provided, between a pair of electrodes 111 and 12, with an organic EL layer 110b capable of being driven on a pixel unit basis. The organic EL device is characterized by that the organic EL layer 110b is structured differently between at least two pixels R and G so as to emit different color light between the pixels R and G; a conductive layer 110a is arranged between the one-side electrode 111 out of the pair of electrodes 111 and 112 and the organic EL layer 110b; and a coloring constituent, for selectively transmitting the same color light as the luminescent color of the organic EL layer 110b, is contained in the conductive layer 110a on a pixel unit basis.
