PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drum groove form correcting device, which automatically corrects drum groove form in a case where the drum groove form is deformed by pressure marks generated by a wire rope in the drum groove. SOLUTION: This devices uses a grinder having a grinding wheel of the same round form of the drum groove. The grinder is pressed toward the center of a drum with proper force as it is rotated. In this state, operation of an electric winding machine is started, so the drum is rotated for grinding the drum groove. Guide pins are disposed on grooves of the groove to be ground, so that the grinder is smoothly guided to the drum groove. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
